About Nova Terra
Maps for worldbuilders, writers, and tabletop storytellers
Nova Terra is a fantasy map creator built for people who want more than a random coastline. It is meant to be a creative workspace where a rough idea can turn into a printable map, a campaign setting, a kingdom plan, or the beginning of a whole fictional world.
The tool is designed to feel visual, flexible, and quick to iterate with. Generate a continent, import a landmask, trace a real coastline, build labels and title blocks, place symbols, save place notes, and scale the map up for print when you are ready. The goal is not sterile perfection. The goal is a map that feels lived in, atmospheric, and full of story potential.
What Nova Terra Is For
- Creating antique-style fantasy maps for books, games, campaigns, and private worldbuilding projects.
- Planning regions, routes, settlements, and place notes while you write or design.
- Turning a rough sketch or imported landmask into a finished printable map.
- Moving from broad world maps into more focused local maps without losing the bigger context.
Current Direction
Nova Terra aims to sit in the sweet spot between map generator, art tool, and worldbuilding companion. The long-term vision is a tool that helps users create maps that are beautiful on first look and useful on second look.
That means the visuals matter, but so does the planning layer behind them: place notes, scale-aware measurements, world setup, biome hints, and meaningful locations that support storytelling.
Who It Is For
- Novelists planning fictional regions and travel routes.
- Game masters building settings for tabletop campaigns.
- Indie developers and designers needing rich-looking world maps.
- Hobbyists who want a map tool that feels inspiring instead of technical.
