My shop includes a mixture of hand-drawn artwork, images adapted from old maps, and AI-generated map assets. I understand that some artists and mapmakers enjoy the detail and variety modern AI can produce, while others prefer to avoid it entirely. Every product is clearly labeled so you can choose what works for you.
The work behind the AI collections
AI-generated images are only the starting point of my process. I carefully select the strongest pieces, isolate each object, remove unwanted backgrounds and artifacts, clean and repair problem areas, upscale the artwork, adjust color and contrast, and organize everything into practical, ready-to-use collections. A great deal of hands-on work goes into turning raw images into polished mapmaking assets.
Products that use no AI
My Photoshop map templates and the Nova Terra mapmaking software do not use AI. Nova Terra is available in two versions: one containing no AI-generated assets and another that includes an extensive AI-generated asset collection. The program itself works the same either way.
A choice for every mapmaker
This is both a creative project and a small business, so I want to make useful artwork for as many mapmakers as possible. Offering different kinds of assets—and being straightforward about how each was made—lets customers decide for themselves what belongs in their work.
Some people love the quality, variety, and imaginative detail available in modern AI artwork. Others want work made only by hand or adapted from historical sources. Both preferences are welcome here. Clear labels make it easy to shop according to your own standards.
